Campaigns
Bespoke, targeted campaigns for all clients
Keystone Consulting has been in business for over 16 years and during that time we have worked with over 50 clients to deliver public affairs campaigns, advice and support for large, medium and small enterprises as well as trade associations and charities. This is a few examples from the last three years.
A large trade association
Long term support and campaigns
Our client often found its voice drowned out by much larger groups representing large businesses in the sector. Over many years, Keystone helped them to build support in Parliament and to develop policies that their members including changes to the law, government guidelines and even taxation.
A medium sized rail company
Promoting the use of rail freight
The goal was to ensure freight was given appropriate consideration during the rail review that led to the Williams/Shapps plan for rail. We devised and implemented a stratagy that included engaging with Parliamentarians and organising events in Parliament attended by Ministers and the Committee members responsible for reporting back to Keith Williams. The client was happy with the outcome of the review and the prominant position given to freight in it.
A (formally) infamous trade association
Reputation management and refocusing
Our client was a trade association caught up in a national scandal that destroyed their reputation. New management recognised the problem and brought in Keystone to help. We identified MPs who were sympathetic to the new management position and worked with the client to build relationships. Working out from there, we engaged with more MPs and Ministers, ultimately helping to restore their reputation and help them better represent their members.
A national sporting body
Support, campaigns and APPG
A large national sporting body had a great comms team but no expertise in public affairs. Recognising this need, they came to Keystone after we were recommended by another client in a similar space. We built a strategy aimed at identifying and meeting interested members, including providing the secretariat to the APPG, and engaging with ministers. When the client needed help, for example when looking for support for an event, we knew who to talk to and how to get it.
Pro bono
Reducing violence against women and girls on trains
According to the ONS, violence against women and girls on trains has surged over the last two years. Nationalisation provides the opportunity for the Government to review standards in safety. Keystone Consulting has worked with members of the House of Lords to change legislation to make it safer for women and girls to travel. This includes producing amendments for the Crime and Policing Bill 2025 and the Railways Bill.
